Course Code RIIHAN212D Conduct non-slewing crane operations
Overview

This course provides candidates the necessary skills and knowledge to operate a mobile crane with greater than 3 tonnes capacity.

Training covers planning of work, conducting routine checks, setting up crane, transferring load, mobile loading, shutting down, and securing crane.

Who Will Benefit This course is recommended for personnel who are required to learn and/or obtain licence to operate a non-slewing crane that incorporates a boom or jib, such as articulated type mobile cranes and locomotive cranes, but not vehicle tow trucks.
Prerequisites

There are no prerequisite units to this course, however a Banksman or Dogging training is recommended. If the person is to drive the crane on the road, a Medium Rigid (MR class) heavy vehicle driver’s licence is also required.

Duration

5 days

Training Method Training is a combination of theory familiarisation and practical applications.
Course Delivery Training to operate non-slewing mobile crane is offered at our Clark campus in the Philippines. We also deliver training on site upon arrangement or provided that there are suitable infrastructure and equipment for training.
Completion Award

Upon successful completion of this unit a Statement of Attainment will be issued.
