Overview

This entry-level course provides the competencies required to carry out Level 1 Rope Access work, as defined under the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) training and certification scheme.

Candidates will be trained in all aspects of rope access work including abseiling, traversing, rigging and vertical rescue under the supervision of an IRATA level 3 rope access technician.

Who Will Benefit This course is suitable for most skilled and non-skilled traders, including riggers, boilermakers, fitters, Non Destructive Testing (NDT) specialists, painters, blasters, and scaffolders.

Learning Outcomes
  • Inspect personal rope access equipment
  • Assist in rigging and non-standard operations, under the guidance of a higher grade
  • Undertake a rescue involving descent by him/herself and have a knowledge of hauling systems
Training Method Training is a combination of theory familiarisation and practical applications.
Course Delivery Training and assessment for IRATA Rope Access Level 1 is conducted at our Clark campus in the Philippines. We also deliver training on site upon arrangement or provided that there are suitable infrastructure and equipment.
Completion Award

An IRATA photographic licence or globally recognised ticket is issued to individuals assessed as competent. The certification is valid for 3 years from date of assessment.
