Overview

This course provides candidates the competencies required to carry out Level 2 Rope Access Work, as defined under the IRATA training and certification scheme.

Candidates will be trained in all aspects of rope access work including abseiling, traversing, complex rigging and complex vertical rescues.

Who Will Benefit This course is suitable for most skilled and non-skilled traders, including riggers, boilermakers, fitters, Non Destructive Testing (NDT) specialists, painters, blasters, and scaffolders.
Prerequisites

Candidates must have 12 months experience and over 1000 verified logbook hours as an IRATA Level 1 technician.

Learning Outcomes
  • Knowledge on legislation, safety requirements and quality assurance procedures relating to rope access
  • Perform rope access tasks under the supervision of an IRATA level 3 rope access technician
  • Rig working ropes
  • Undertake rescues
Training Method Training is a combination of theory familiarisation and practical applications.
Course Delivery Training and assessment for IRATA Rope Access Level 2 is conducted at our Clark campus in the Philippines. We also deliver training on site upon arrangement or provided that there are suitable infrastructure and equipment.
Completion Award

An IRATA photographic licence or globally recognised ticket is issued to individuals assessed as competent. The certification is valid for 3 years from date of assessment.
