Course Code RIIHAN305D Operate a gantry or overhead crane
Overview

This course provides candidates the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and competently operate a pendant-controlled overhead crane.

Training covers risk assessment and control, pre-start inspections, lifting equipment, reporting and recording faults, lifting and shifting various loads safely, shutting down and stowing equipment and cranes as per AS2550 standards, manufacturer instructions, and site procedures.

Who Will Benefit This course is suitable for personnel who are required to learn how to operate electric overhead cranes with 3 or less movements: south/north, east/west, up/down.

Training Method Training is a combination of theory familiarisation and practical applications.
Course Delivery Training to operate an electric overhead crane is offered at our Clark campus in the Philippines. We also deliver training on site upon arrangement or provided that there are suitable infrastructure and equipment for training.
Completion Award

Upon successful completion of this unit a Statement of Attainment will be issued.
