| Overview |
This course provides candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate and maintain excavator with relevance to the civil construction industry. Training covers planning and preparing for excavator operations, operating excavator (i.e. loading, bulk excavation, backfilling, trench excavation, stockpiling, battering and benching), lifting, carrying, and placing materials, selecting, removing and fitting attachments, relocating the excavator, carrying out machine operator maintenance, and conducting housekeeping activities. |

| Training Method | Training is a combination of theory familiarisation and practical applications. |
| Course Delivery | Training and assessment for conducting civil construction excavator operations are offered at our Clark campus in the Philippines. We also deliver training services on site upon arrangement or provided that there are suitable infrastructure and equipment for training. |

Upon successful completion of this unit a Statement of Attainment will be issued. |
