Overview

This essential introductory course provides candidates an overview of pipeline engineering. This covers petroleum geology, reservoir and well equipment, extraction and processing, pipeline facilities, hydrocarbon properties, pipeline industry standards (AS 2885), statutory requirements, pipeline components, gas analysis, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and control systems, process and instrumentation diagrams, pigging, corrosion control, gas compression and flow measurements.

  • Explain the principles of rotating equipment, lubrication and bearings

  • Explain the principles of gas measurement
  • Interpret process and instrumentation diagrams for a facility
  • Explain the purpose of AS 2885 and describe its key parts
Training Method Training is a combination of theory familiarisation and practical applications.
Course Delivery The introductory course to Gas Pipeline Engineering is offered at our Clark campus in the Philippines. We also deliver training services on site upon arrangement or provided that there are suitable infrastructure and equipment for training.
Completion Award

Upon successful completion of this course, a Statement of Completion will be issued.
