OceanaGold UG Batch 11 Graduation

20 August 2019—Congratulations OceanaGold Ph Batch 11 trainees for completing the 12-week Underground Metalliferous Mining Work Readiness Course at Site Skills Training Clark campus.

Held at campus’ Burke and Wills Restaurant and Café, Batch 11’s graduation ceremony was an intimate and meaningful gathering attended by OceanaGold Philippines officials: Mining Operations Superintendent Paul Mitchel, Learning and Development Supervisor Moises Dimalia, and Mining Training Coordinator Ruben Babbayong.

In his welcome remarks, Site Skills Training Philippines General Manager Brett McPhee recognised OceanaGold for its demonstrated commitment to employee development and exemplary community relations program.

Likewise, McPhee emphasised in his speech the paramount importance of safety, and how the training partnership has been instrumental, over the years, in equipping the graduates with the required safety knowledge for underground mine work.

OceanaGold Learning and Development Supervisor Moises Dimalia enjoined the graduates to take to heart OGPI’s six values of Respect, Teamwork, Innovation, Action, Accountability, and Integrity.

Dimalia reminded them that when they are aligned with these values, together they can confidently achieve goals and withstand challenges ahead.
