Overview

This course provides candidates basic understanding of safety in the workplace. Training covers fire safety and evacuation, chemical and hazardous materials handling, hazard identification and risk reduction, and emergency first aid application.

  • Recognise the principles of fire safety
  • Select a workplace emergency warden
  • Participate in an emergency response team
  • Understand fire science and the practical use of fire extinguishers
  • Label, store, and handle hazardous materials
  • Identify and transport hazardous materials
  • Deal with spillages and other hazardous material incidents
  • Identify and apply decontamination procedures
  • Recognise and apply the principles of health and safety in the workplace
  • Identify and report hazards to reduce risks
  • Record incidents
  • Understand the principles of first aid
  • Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Perform CPR with Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Training Method Training is a combination of theory familiarisation and practical applications.
Course Delivery The workforce development program is offered at our Clark campus in the Philippines. We also deliver training services on site upon arrangement or provided that there are suitable infrastructure and equipment for training.
Completion Award

Upon successful completion of this course, a Statement of Completion will be issued.
